Birthday and Baby Sprinkle!

What a whirlwind of a week it has been!! Last time I posted, we were getting ready for a big weekend.  And it was a fabulous one!

On Saturday, my step-mom and good friend threw me a baby shower.  It was pink and pretty and perfect!  I had close family and friends around to sprinkle Libby and me with gifts and shower us with love and well wishes. I felt extremely blessed!

On Sunday, for my birthday, Courtney Taylor Bowles took lovely photos of our family as we await Libby’s arrival.  The previews turned-out so sweet!  I can’t wait to see the whole set when they’re ready.

After the photo shoot, I met my family for a birthday/going away brunch at the Boathouse.  YUM!!!!  What a fun day!!!

The rest of this week has been spent working, checking items off the “to do” list and spending time with friends (Ryleigh’s and ours) for final hugs and send-offs.  Bittersweet!

We capped-off the week with a dinner at Ruth’s Chris with my dad and step-mom.  So delicious (and fun)!

Today is my last day in the Richmond office before working remotely full-time.  This day arrived quickly!  I’m nervous and excited, but really looking forward to my send-off lunch with co-workers :).  Now on to a weekend full of packing and more celebrating/fun/eating with friends and family.  I know I’ve said it a hundred times, but I’m so very blessed!

Another Lovely Week!

Libby and I had a wonderful 32 week appointment.  We're both doing very well!  I'm in all the boxes - weight, blood pressure etc.  And she's in the 87th percentile for size - 4 lb 15 oz :).  I was hoping to get a cute picture of her face, but she didn't cooperate at all... She refused to show her face!  The plan remains the same - the next ultrasound will be at 36 weeks at which time, we'll schedule the c-section.  A cute note on her movements - she likes the shower!  When I hop in each morning, she gets excited and starts dancing around.

Barry and his Dad made a marathon trip to Florida this past weekend.  Before they left, my friend Emily and I packed almost the rest of the house in a whirlwind, all day session.  Then, movers arrived and loaded a 26' UHaul truck.

Barry and his Dad hitched the Civic to the back of the UHaul and left Saturday night at 10:30 pm and drove through the night and much of the next day.  They unloaded all the stuff into a storage unit in Pensacola to await our arrival and closing on the new house in early May.  The house feels a bit strange now... we have just a few pieces of furniture left and we are sleeping on mattresses on the floor.  Ryleigh thinks it's fun, but this preggo has a bit of a hard time getting in and out of bed.  Here are some images to give you a sense of how empty the house is now...

This week, Barry and I celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary by having dinner at Carrabba's - one of my favorites!  It was really nice to have a quiet evening, just the two of us.  Here's to many more healthy, happy years together!

Now this coming weekend is going to be AWESOME!  I have my baby shower tomorrow, a birthday/going away celebration with my girlfriends tomorrow evening, maternity portraits and brunch for my birthday/going away with family on Sunday.  I will take pictures and share ASAP!

Move Phase 1 This Weekend!

We are breaking-down Libby's nursery this weekend and packing it to move to Gulf Breeze.  It's very strange to be taking it apart so close to her arrival, but it'll be back together in a few weeks!  She has been very active and moving around a lot, keeping me happy and positive through all the current change and turmoil.  I am feeling her hiccups every few days, which is very cool - I didn't experience those with Ryleigh.

Barry is going down to Florida this weekend to take care of the home inspection and taking our first UHaul full of stuff down to storage. Let's call it "move phase 1" :).  So I am staying behind to work with friends and family to continue packing and organizing for "move phase 2," now scheduled for April 29.  Early hours of the morning on April 30, we all load-up and ship out where we will get settled in our new community in a condo for a week.  Looks like a pretty swell place to work for a week!

Then, we close on our new home May 8 and spend the weekend moving in and getting settled.  Really excited to meet my new doctor, get Ryleigh settled in her new school and start our new routine before Libby arrives mid-May!

And for this week's dose of cuteness...

What a Week!

This week has been incredibly busy and there is lots of news to share.  Let's start with Libby, since this is her blog :).

At our 30 week appointment, Libby and I both measured-in well and everything seems to be progressing appropriately.  We are "cleared" to continue growing and being awesome ladies until we return to the office for an ultrasound in week 32.

I made a name sign for her nursery to go above her crib, and I'm really proud of how it turned out.

Here's a 30-week belly picture (ignore the hair and lack of makeup, please)...

Now, onward to the move updates... We have a HOUSE!!!!  It took 2 rounds of bidding, a rejection on our new home and a rejection on another house to FINALLY win this house, but we are SO excited to call this house our home on May 8th!!!

Now, we have to figure out how to move our stuff and what we'll do from April 29 to May 8...  We'll sort through it all this coming week and make a plan.  Ha! A plan to make a plan...

And for the weekly dose of cuteness, Ryleigh on a swing :)
