Okay, so I know I just posted that the baby wasn't moving much and I was nervous, but she's moving like a rockstar today, so all nerves are gone. YAY!
In other news, I'm feeling a little... bigger... than I'd like to feel. I wanted to go into this pregnancy feeling small and cute and just gain a big 'ole belly. Yeah... that wasn't in the stars for me. Maybe it's because my appetite is crazy?! But, when I do my hair and make an effort to dress up a bit, I feel pretty good for 25+ weeks preggo. I could complain about some backaches, but that's not such a big deal considering I'm so excited to have a beautiful baby girl in my belly.
Oh! And she has a name! Some of our family members know... A few more to tell and then we'll spill the beans online.

Nervous Nelly
We've had 2 snow days in the past 2 weeks, and it's super-fun, but I'm ready for the sun and warmth again. Bring on Spring!!! For the first snow day, we were unprepared for sledding, so Barry created a sled-alternative out of a tupperware lid. But for snow day two, we went to Wal-Mart and bought a poodle. Only pictures can explain :).
I've been really excited about the baby for the past few weeks, but she hasn't been as active for the last couple of days, so here come the nerves. I'll be using my doppler tonight, for sure. At 25 weeks, she's approximately the size of a head of cauliflower. Cute! In other exciting baby news, my BFF and step-mom have offered to throw me a baby "sprinkle," so we're working to schedule that now - yay! And, I think we've settled on the baby's name. Once we share with family and close friends, I'll post it out here for the world!

Cravings
Holy Moly I want BUFFALO SAUCE!!!! Like, on anything... chicken? YES!! burger?? Why not?! Quiche?? That'll work too...
This is the first time I've had a craving beyond the 1st trimester. Even with Ryleigh, my cravings were varied but were isolated to the first 14 weeks. With this pregnancy, I thought I was experiencing the same thing... But, here I am at 24 weeks putting buffalo sauce on EVERYTHING.
For my own benefit, so I can look back and remember later, here are the craving's I had with Ryleigh and now with this new baby girl on the way.
Ryleigh's Cravings:
Blueberry ANYTHING - bagels, muffins, juice, fruit, etc
Cheese pizza
Spaghettios
Cereal with milk
BBQ chicken
Baby Girl #2 Cravings:
Hibachi chicken with yum yum
Cheeseburgers
Pizza
Cheese and mustard sandwiches
Refried beans and rice
Chips and salsa
Buffalo sauce (currently!)

Busy Couple of Weeks
Has it really been since Feb 7 since my last post?!?! Man... time is slipping away from me. Today, I am 24 weeks pregnant, and feeling really good. I went to the doctor this morning, and he agrees that everything looks good and that both the baby and I are healthy. I don't know if I mentioned this before (call it pregnancy brain), but I have a marginal placenta previa, so I'm being monitored fairly closely, which means I will have another ultrasound at my next appointment at 28 weeks.
In baby preparation news, we have received samples of the fabric that is being used to create the baby girl's bedding. I'm so excited!!!
We're also working in selecting a name. We have it narrowed down to two really awesome names that we both love. We've asked Ryleigh her opinion on the two options, and she certainly has a favorite, but the favorite tends to change every couple of days. I suppose we'll pick one soon.
We just got back from a trip to Gulf Breeze, Florida to celebrate Valentine's Day as a family. We really enjoyed the warm weather break and the chance to spend time together. Glad we got away before the baby arrives.
When we got home Monday evening, we drove through a snow storm, so yesterday turned into a snow day. It was fun, and Barry was the BEST Daddy and took Ryleigh sledding (meaning, pulling her up and down the hill), but I'm hopeful this is the last of it and that we can move on to Spring.

Seeing is Believing
I saw her move! I've been feeling the baby girl for weeks now, but she's punching or kicking so hard, on occasion, that I'm able to see my tummy jump in reaction. So cool!!
Ryleigh's really excited and is asking almost daily, "is the baby coming today?" We are getting her involved in all the preparation, and she had the honor of picking and buying the first outfit we bought for the baby. It's precious! She did a great job :).

Baby Bedding Ordered
I am so excited!!!! Tonight, I ordered the bedding for the baby girl's nursery. I can say that I love Etsy! This was my first Etsy purchase, and I'm hooked on how personalized I am able to make my daughter's room by working with artisans. I just have to grab some paint and accessories now. So fun!

Trip to DC!
Our family had a fun weekend getaway to Washington DC. Ryleigh loved her adventures in the city. Starting with the National Car Show and dinner on the town, plus some trips on the Metro. Then on Sunday, we went to the Natural History Museum and the Air and Space Museum. She loved it all!
Then, she helped Daddy assemble her soon-to-be sister's nursery furniture. It turned out lovely!!

And, exciting for Mommy, I saw my first baby movement :). It was a punch or kick in the gut, and I saw my belly jump. So exciting!
