We don't have an address yet, but the ball is rolling... We are moving to Gulf Breeze, Florida in April. In approximately 4 weeks, this is where we will call home!!
Exciting times for our family! This past week has been focused on trying to find our new home, but our luck hasn't been great. So, we're looking at short-term rental options. But, our plan is to get down there and settled before it's time for Libby to arrive. Fingers and toes crossed! More to come as things start to come together... For this weekend, we start packing :).
I'm feeling pretty good at this point in the pregnancy, but I'm still struggling with some pregnancy insomnia. Though it's not fun, it'll be worth it in the end!!
A good friend of mine was kind enough to give me some of her newborn size baby clothes last weekend, so that feels good. I now believe I will be able to clothe Libby when she gets here in a few weeks.
Libby and I are 29 weeks along and had some monitoring done this week. She was very cute about it... She kicked/punched the heart rate monitors and spent the whole time rolling around, giving the nurses a hard time. The whole thing made me smile! I want her to wait until it's time, but when it's time, I can't wait to meet her!!!
And... for a dose of cuteness, just because... Here's a picture of Ryleigh using her knife (dull and supervised) to spread cheese on her crackers. She's growing up so fast!!!

Curve Ball...
My 28 week OB appointment threw us a curve ball. You may recall that I mentioned a partial previa in a recent post that was discovered at my 20 week appointment. We were in "wait and see" mode until 28 weeks when we were expecting to see the previa having resolved itself as my uterus grew. Unfortunately, our expectations were totally off-base. We have confirmed that we are now working with a complete placenta previa. What does that mean? A lot of things... a few of them are scary and risky, but if you don't consider the "ifs" and just talk about the "knowns," it's not so bad. Basically, we know now that if all goes well over the next 8 weeks, Libby will be delivered by c-section between 36 and 37 weeks - that's May 13 through May 20. That's 4 weeks sooner than I expected, but we can't risk my body going into labor, so we do what we must.
Good thing her nursery bedding arrived today! Now, I need to get some newborn clothes because all the ones I have left-over from Ryleigh are bigger. Baby clothes shopping?!?! Darn... ;)

Epic Weekend!
Seriously, this weekend was epic... Where to begin?!?! Maybe with baby :)
Ryleigh had a chance to feel Libby move in my belly this weekend. She thought it was cool, and has been talking to her a bunch this weekend. Makes me smile! I also felt hiccups from her and dealt with a mean bout of insomnia this weekend. It's all good - I feel so blessed! And as promised, here are some pictures of Libby's car seat cover. It's still not washed and installed, but it'll give you a good idea of what it will look like when it's ready.
Friday, we went to the circus, and Ryleigh LOVED it. She was engaged from start to finish. Here are some candids from our adventure.
Saturday, Ryleigh and I went to the movies. We watched Cinderella, which was a lovely movie. She was interested in the whole thing, which surprised me.
Then, when we got home, we had a call for the first showing of our house. With 30 mins to prepare and a house that was a disaster (remember, we all had stomach bugs last week), I went through the house like a tornado to get it ready to show. The couple that looked at the house LOVED it and put in an offer. That's right folks, after 10 days on the market and 1 showing, our house is SOLD!!! Time to start looking for a place to live ;). They'll be updates on that in my next post, for sure.
And Sunday was another busy day. We went to not one, but two birthday parties. My good friend's son turned 4 and we celebrated in a train-themed party. It was ADORABLE! Then, Ryleigh's classmate celebrated her birthday at SkyZone. Ryleigh was wiped-out at the end of the day with no nap and two active birthday parties.

What's a rutabaga?
With 90 days to go, Libby's the size of a rutabaga. Her car seat covers have arrived! Once they're washed and installed, I'll snap a picture and share.
In other news, it's been an interesting few days... We've been battling a stomach bug in this house and trying to keep up with work. Here's a cute picture of Barry and Ryleigh playing legos during our down-time this past weekend.
It's Friday-eve, and this weekend couldn't be better timed! It'll be a ton of fun to make-up for the time we've spent battling illness. On the agenda - circus, Cinderella in the theater and two birthday parties. It's going to be epic family time!!! <3

A Head of Lettuce
We are 26+ weeks pregnant now... Getting dangerously close to the end of the 2nd trimester. This is going REALLY REALLY REALLY fast... I LOVE being pregnant though. Libby is now the size of a head of lettuce, apparently, and rocking and rolling constantly. Her movement makes me smile and feel accomplished, full of love and excitement multiple times a day. For example, as I write this blog post, it's Sunday morning and we just "sprang forward" an hour. I have prepared my first cup of (decaf) coffee in 2 weeks, and as expected, Libby is jumping for joy. She loves when I drink coffee :).
The biggest news in the baby preparation efforts is that my Etsy order for a car seat cover has shipped. I can't wait for it to get here - I'll absolutely post pictures!!
Other goings-on this week include another ice/snow storm (hopefully the last for the season), a bang trim for me (see picture below) and a round of stomach virus for Ryleigh. We're all ready for the next week to get started - it's supposed to be beautiful weather, and hopefully healthy! I Lysoled the whole house this morning, so I've done all I can do...
Also, while we're waiting for our house to sell, we're torturing ourselves by daydreaming of houses by the water. For example...
And for a dose of cuteness, just because, a picture of my "Aurora Fairy"...

99 Days to Go and House on the Market?!!?
Our daughter-to-be has a name! Drum roll please... Elizabeth "Libby" Day Gooden. We have a little over 3 months until her scheduled arrival, and I hope she hangs-in there until the very end... We have a lot to do before she arrives.
We must be crazy... No, no... we're absolutely crazy! We have 99 days to go until the baby's due date, and we're putting our house on the market. Where are you going? We're not even 100% sure!! Maybe the other side of the river? Maybe to warmer weather?! We know want to take advantage of the great interest rates and buying power, so more details to be shared as they're figured out, but exciting times around here!
